As per the military sources, The Tour of Duty in the Indian Army will be a 3-year short service program. It is known to be a pilot project which will conduct on a trial basis with a limited number of 100 officers and approximately 1000 posts. They will get training in the 1st year for the next 3 year period.

Eligibility Criteria
Soldier General: Candidate needs to be at least 10th pass.
Soldier Technical: Candidate needs to be 12th pass at least.
Officer Post: Candidate needs to be graduated in any stream.
Age Limit
Officer Post: Candidate should be between 21 years to 34 years.
Soldier: Candidate should be between 17.5 years to 21 years.
Marital Status
Candidate should be unmarried.
Salary
- Selected Candidate will get the salary between Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000per month for Soldier Post.
- Selected Candidate will get the salary between Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000per month for Officer Post.
